The Department of Chemistry, University of Kashmir, invites applications in the prescribed format for a Walk-in Interview to be held on 6th October 2025 (Monday) at 2:30 PM in the office chamber of the Head, Department of Chemistry.
This recruitment is for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the DST-SERB sponsored project titled:
“Explorations into Valorization of Carbon Dioxide to Achieve Sustainable Polycarbonates: Applications in 3D Printing and Micellar Catalysis”
📌 Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
📌 Duration: 3 months (starting October 2025)
📌 Fellowship: ₹31,000/- + HRA (as per SERB guidelines)
✅ Eligibility:

M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks

Qualified GATE/NET/SET or equivalent examination

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Candidates must bring all original certificates along with photocopies (educational qualification, age proof, marksheets) on the day of the interview.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate candidate to apply for the National Post Doctoral Fellowship (NPDF) under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), India.
🧬 Research Focus
Our research interests lie at the interface of organic and polymer chemistry with emphasis on the utilization of greenhouse gas for making useful polymers. We are motivated to explore novel approaches for recycling renewable resources such as plants and CO2 for making polymers containing ether, ester, and carbonate linkages, which eventually contribute towards a circular economy. We would like to explore our novel approach of making metallopolymers by introducing functionalization in polycarbonate polymers, which will open gates for their applications in Drug Delivery, Micellar catalysis, self-healing materials, and matrices for tissue engineering.
